Carolyn McCall, chief executive
Appointed chief executive in August 2006. Carolyn was first appointed to the Board in 2000, having served on the Guardian News & Media Limited board since 1995, becoming its chief executive in 2000. She is chair of Opportunity Now.

Nick Castro, group finance director Joined the Group and Board in 1998. He was previously group finance director of Yorkshire Tyne Tees Television Holdings plc and a partner with KPMG in London.

Tim Brooks, managing director, Guardian News & Media
Joined the Group and Board in September 2006. Tim was previously on the board of IPC Media Ltd and has worked at Emap plc in a variety of senior management roles.

Mark Dodson, chief executive, GMG Regional Media
Joined the Group in 1988 and was appointed to the Board in 2005. He became chief executive of Greater Manchester Weekly Newspapers in 1998. Mark is also on the board of the Newspaper Society, fish4 Ltd and is chief executive of Channel M, the UK's most successful city TV station.

John Myers, chief executive, GMG Radio
Joined the Group in 1999 and was appointed to the Board in January 2006. John is chairman of the Radio Academy, he sits on the board of the Radio Centre and the Sony Radio Awards. He was awarded a fellowship for his contribution to radio in 2002.

Phil Boardman, company secretary
Joined the Group and appointed company secretary in 2001. Phil was previously group financial controller of Hickson International plc and Fenner plc.

Carolyn Gray, group HR director
Joined GMG in January 2006. Carolyn previously worked in HR with Sainburys, Focus Wickes and Smiths Group plc where she was director of reward & policy. She is a member of the Council of the Institute of Employment Studies, and sits on the Executive of the Involvement and Participation Association.

Simon Waldman, group director of digital strategy and development
Simon joined Guardian Newspapers in 1996. He was launch editor of Guardian Unlimited in 1999 before moving into general management and becoming the company's first director of digital publishing in 2001. Appointed group director of digital strategy and development at Guardian Media Group in 2006. He is also Chairman of the UK Association of Online Publishers (AOP).

Shaun Williams, director of corporate affairs, Guardian News & Media
Joined Guardian News & Media as director of corporate affairs in 2002. He is a former journalist and television producer and was previously director of corporate affairs for Carlton Communications plc.
