The Manchester Evening News (MEN) is one of the UK’s biggest regional newspapers in terms of readership. It is the clear market leader in Greater Manchester.

Under editor Paul Horrocks (below left) the MEN has led the way for the UK regional press industry with a series of innovative changes to the paper and its newsgathering operation.

The MEN’s groundbreaking hybrid distribution model – part-paid, part-free – has seen the number of readers increase substantially since its launch in 2006, cementing the paper’s status as ‘the voice of Manchester’.

MEN Media also operates the regional industry’s first fully converged newsdesk, which acts as a multimedia hub, disseminating content through print, online, TV and radio.
