The Board delegates management of the Group businesses to the executive committee, which meets monthly.
Chaired by the chief executive, the executive committee comprises the four divisional chief executives, the group finance director, the group HR director, the group director of digital strategy and development, the Guardian News & Media director of corporate affairs and the company secretary. The executive committee is responsible to the Board for implementation of Group strategy, monitoring of business performance, and the approval of budgets, significant capital expenditure and contracts, and acquisitions and disposals for recommendation to the Board.
